Abstract
This paper presents an overview of a comprehensive finite element analysis software package developed to investigate highway bridges. This program is developed to specifically address the coupled influence of the soil-structure, vehicle-structure, and/or fluid/structure interaction problem. The software has been developed using a simple problem-oriented language (POL) to facilitate data input. It examines both linear and nonlinear behaviors and either static, dynamic, or earthquake loading. An extensive finite element library is included in the package (including three-dimensional solid and shell elements). The analysis process is enhanced by the inclusion of a nodal renumbering routine as well as a variety of eigenvalue/eigenvector solvers.
