Summary
In this paper we refer to numerical integration procedures for boundary value problems
in elasto-viscoplastic solids. A numerical approach is pursued by connecting the viscoplastic
equipotential surface with the viscoplastic multiplier. An implicit backward
difference method is proposed which is suitable for application to different constitutivemodels
and to arbitrary yield criteria. A consistent tangent operator well suited for
applications to different constitutivemodels and arbitrary yield criteria is also adopted
as associated to the proposed numerical solution algorithm. Computational results and
numerical examples are finally reported which illustrate the effectiveness and robustness
of the algorithmic procedure.
