Summary
This paper shows how to improve further the technical safety and economy for Chinese HSR operations. In the investigations of typical vibrating failures, two primary instability problems are found in the specific services,
e.g. ballastless bed tracks and viaducts. Two negative factors cannot be therefore neglected, i.e. the influence of long wavelength track irregularities and the disturbances of sidewind to the carbody. To coordinate the phase-lag of bogie frame yaw and the high-damping of carbody yaw, the optimal configuration of bogies is determined, and the stability robustness is validated sufficiently, e.g. stability performance, dynamic load characteristics and anti-disturbance capacity of wake flows.
