Abstract
Photonic crystals are artificial microscopic structures that are periodically arranged in
some directions. In this paper, we study the two-dimensional photonic crystals, which
are easy to fabricate and show many interesting characteristics. We employ the finite
element method with triangular cell lattice partition for modelling and simulation. By
comparing with the existing literature, the effectiveness of our approach is proved.
