Abstract
This paper describes a knowledge based system that generates activities. Aspects of construction planning are discussed and opportunities identified for application of a knowledge based system that interfaces with conventional network analysis software. The knowledge structure of the system consists of frames, production rules and procedures. Some of the techniques that have been used in the validation of expert systems are discussed. A descriptive approach for the validation of the developed system is outlined.
