Abstract
In this paper, an expert system for the progress of foundation work, which is derived from the statistics of actual works and foundation design simulations is proposed. This system will effectively support the progress planning of foundation works, which used to be done by many kinds of expert engineers, even inexperienced engineers, by integrating a support system for foundation design for construction method and for progress planning. Furthermore, many comparative case studies will be successfully conducted more rapidly.
