Summary
The efficiency and robustness of a mixed domain decomposition method with nonlinear
localization has being presented in different works. These strategies allow to
handle arbitrary large load increments in one step. In this paper, we are presenting
some limitations of the nonlinear localization techniques, specially when treating
complex industrial structures such a stiffened panel, where the capabilities of the
strategy are lost. Also, a proposition for improvement of the strategy, consisting on a
two-scale approximation of the Robin parameter of the strategy, is presented.
