Summary
In this paper, we present a research agenda which identifies three research directions for the upstream supply chain of the Dutch railway sector. The first research direction focusses on coordination of spare parts with criticality differences and related allocations of potential cost savings amongst involved parties. The second research direction focusses on coordination of inventory location choices between regions and related allocations of potential cost savings amongst regions. The third research direction focusses on spare parts (performance) contracts between parties which are involved in the upstream supply chain of the Dutch railway sector.
