Summary
This paper shows that the semi probabilistic design method used for static design in the Eurocode has not been fully adopted for dynamic design. A case study is used, to demonstrate how the use of the semi probabilistic design method would have considerable benefits for dynamic design. In this case study theoretical design according to the Eurocode is compared with design using limit states and actually measured damping values. For the analyses the DER-Method was used.
