Abstract
The objective of this paper is to present RAMZES, a computer system that can be used as a decision support tool for structural concepts evaluation. The system is based on a knowledge-based approach and on Multi-attribute Utility Theory. The knowledge base is used to provide designers with domain-specific information for describing concepts, while Multi-attribute Utility Theory is used for numerically assessing the overall worth of these concepts. The system architecture, assumptions and operations are presented in this paper. It includes the initial results of evaluation experiment conducted using the system.
