Summary
In recent years, the extended actual feeling attracts attention in various fields. Augmented reality is the information processing technology that can overlap the virtual information made from the computer on the actual environment. With the improvement of computer performance, the applied field of the augmented reality is expanding. So, it is able to overlap much important information or images on the actual environment. The research on augmented reality has moved forward rapidly. Some applications have been proposed such as the height of a tsunami or a cloud of smoke to overlap on the actual environment in a support system for decision making, safety education and so on. In this research, we develop a simulator that can provide the experience of localized severe rain to provide the ability in sensing the consequential risk. The effectiveness of this simulator was evaluated by comparing it with the disaster prevention education based on the past disaster documents such as the damage number, the damage photo, the radar rainfall information and so on.
