Abstract

An outline of the method of production of precast flooring units is presented and the requirements of an effective management system are discussed.

A recently developed interactive computer aided system to aid in the management of the complete production process from receipt of order, through design, to manufacture, delivery and invoicing is described. The system enables optimum use to be made of production facilities and maintains records of progress on all activity within the yard.
