Abstract
This paper presents a numerical study for the flow analysis with the free surface and the structure analysis by fluid force. In the flow analysis, for the discretization of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equation, the Improved-Balancing-Tensor-Diffusivity method and the Fractional-Step method are used. The Navier-Stokes equation is expressed by the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) formulation. And optimal control theory is applied for the control of oscillation of the free surface. The Limited-memory quasi-Newton (LMQN) method is used for the minimization algorithm.
