Abstract
The DRAMA library supports dynamic load balancing for parallel message-passing mesh-based simulation codes. The target applications are those with dynamic and solution-adaptive mechanisms. Based on a very general cost model, DRAMA provides access to a range of parallel partitioning algorithms through a simple and effective mesh-based interface. We will present an overview of the DRAMA load balancing library and demonstrate its ability to handle parallel FEM problems including contact-impact simulation, adaptive meshing and remeshing.
