Abstract
This paper describes efforts to improve the accuracy of Weigh-in-Motion systems using multiple sensors. For this study a Neural Network algorithm is used to combine the output from the individual sensors into one improved estimate of static gross vehicle weight. A multilayer feedforward neural network is used. The algorithm is tested using data from a field trial at Trappes in France.
