Abstract
In many market sectors there has recently been as apparent step change in how companies perform their core business. The result has been increased competitive advantage for companies in the Electronic Products; Automotive; Insurance; Banking; and Mechanical Sectors. Careful research has shown that the way forward for the Construction Sector to benefit from the new methodology is to apply well established Business Systems Engineering principles to their particular business process. The emphasis is thereby placed on the importance of Understanding; Documenting; Simplifying; and Optimising each process so as to significantly leverage bottom-line performance. But Business Systems Engineering is concerned with taking an integrated model approach to the technological, financial, organisational and cultural aspects of the business process. Hence this particular change model is correlated herein with the performance improvement achieved in a Housing Sector company.
