Abstract
The concept of the potential of a monotone multi-valued operator provides an effective tool for the systematic search of variational principles. Unfortunately, the non-monotone nature of some models, make it difficult. In this paper a new approach, bipotential is presented. The advantages of the new approach are numerous, among which ones is emphasized a pretty extension of Calculus of Variation.
