Abstract
In this paper is Presented the development of an interactive CAD-based environment aiming the contribution to a complete, intellectual and more flexible data management in restoration, conservation and repair researches and studies concerning monuments and historical buildings.

The environment was developed into the computer aided design program AutoCAD re1 12 using LISP programming language. This particular environment links three of the basic regions in a restoration study, the survey, the data processing - drafting and the structural analysis of the monument using the modern computers' technology.

This attempt gave encouraging results establishing the requirements for further improvement and investigation in restoration studies.
