Abstract
This paper concerns the design sensitivity analysis of the dynamic response of linear multi-degree-of-freedom system with both parametric and forced periodic excitations. The definition of the first and second order logarithmic sensitivity functions in the frequency domain and the method for determining them have been proposed. The examples shown indicate that logarithmic sensitivity functions of the second order preserve the qualitative character of the first order sensitivity functions and are more sensitive to the changes of system parameters. The method presented in the paper provides a designer with useful information about the most efficient modification of the system.
