Abstract
In this paper, computational techniques for the analysis of tube stability in deep water are outlined and applications to pipelines and tubular members of offshore structures are discussed. Results are presented on buckle propagation and arrest in pipelines and the role of external pressure on the axial and bending capacities of tubular members is examined.
