Abstract
This paper addresses a three-dimensional theoretical-numerical
method for the solution of general surface wave-structure
interaction problems. The presented method is based on a
second-order potential theory and on a numerical solution of the
formulated set of integral-equations for the velocity potentials
by a developed computer algorithm. For the validation of the
developed theory and the related computer program, typical
numerical results for the first and second-order motions and
loads of standardized offshore structures in waves are compared
with known theoretical results of other authors and with data
from model experiments.
