Abstract
We consider quadrilateral finite element methods for
Reissner-Mindlin plates in which the shear term is modified
using the MITC technique. Some alternatives to the
original MITC elements are introduced. For the case
when the elements are parallelograms we give error estimates
for the hp-version of the methods.
