Abstract
The procedure for generating the biaxial moment interaction of reinforced concrete cross sections of literally any shape, with or without openings, is presented in this paper. Apart from the main assumption that plane sections remain plane after bending, no assumptions were made on the shape of the material stress-strain relationships making the procedure versatile. The effects of creep, concrete confinement and bond slippage on the constitutive models of concrete and steel are easily incorporated. Flow charts are presented for computer programming. Pitfalls and solutions to the instability of the numerical implementation of the iteration procedure are also addressed.
