Summary
In this paper the non-linear dynamic formulation proposed earlier for the analysis of fiber-reinforced laminated plates and shells is improved substituting the adopted homogenized mass matrix for embedded fibers by a consistent mass matrix developed for each fiber finite element. This complete technique separates the continuum and fibers mechanical properties and naturally assembles the consistent reinforced media for dynamic analysis. To validate the proposed formulation the present results are compared to reference values in which homogenized data were adopted for dynamic properties.
