Summary
This paper presents selected simulation calculations of the railway track surface models under different static and dynamic loads. The results are used as an input data to determine fatigue performance and service life of selected railway track structure components. It enables simulation assessment of the fatigue performance of new railway track solutions under operating loads. The issues addressed in this paper are an initial stage to reach the aim, and the numerical calculations for different railway track loads present valuable input for further studies on the concept of determining the service life. The calculation results indicate the need to continue the studies and further improve models, as well as verification and validation techniques.
