Abstract
A report is presented explaining the findings of a research project carried between 1979 and 1986. The research project examined the problems associated with the techniques of project planning and network analysis within the construction industry. A series of structured interviews was executed and a poor attitude toproject planning was revealed. As a result a test package was developed. This test package was installed on a number of Longitudinal test sites and its use monitored. An improved attitude to project planning tended to develop on the test sites.
