Abstract
In general, maintenance of bridge structure consists of inspection and repair. Inspection results are used as a basis to judge whether the bridge should be repaired or not. To establish a rational repair and maintenance program, it is necessary to estimate the effect of maintenance on the structural reliability. However, its estimation is not an easy task, because of the variety and complexity of the maintenance work.

In this paper, an attempt is made to develop a reliability analysis method which can take the maintenance effect into account. The relationships between every maintenance items are represented by a graph, which is useful to evaluate a maintenance program comprehensively. Based on the weights provided for each maintenance item, a total evaluation is calculated, through which the effect of maintenance is introduced in the analysis of structural reliability.
