Abstract
Based on the method of force-densities a modular program package FASNET including a data management system were established on micro-computers. FASNET allows for an optimal design, for the analysis of roof structures for both membranes and cable networks and for the determination of the cutting pattern. In this report only the part of the system dealing with the design and analysis will be described. This part of the system includes a number of program modules for generating different topological connectivity patterns, for formfinding of network type structures, including minimal surfaces, for the statical analysis and the calculation of any load cases and for a grafical presentation of the results. The system is easy to handle and therefore a useful tool for architects and engineers.
