Abstract
The Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement (CESMM) is in use for preparing civil engineering Bills of Quantities, obtaining priced tenders and valuing the construction work on re-measurement. QUMIC is a suite of programs for use on many popular micros in preparing and printing Bills of Quantities to CESMM, processing valuations and monitoring construction. Experience in its use and the advantages of computerisation are outlined. The future for computerised Billing systems and other probable developments are detailed.
