Abstract
The main objective is to minimize error of the Counterpropagation Neural Net (CPN) response by proper improvements in order to applying it more effectively in structural optimization. To examine the efficiency of the improved net, optimum design of plate girders including girder dimensions, stiffener dimensions and spacing under different loading condition is performed.
