Abstract
The aim of this paper is to solve large structural simulation with few workstations. At this purpose, a parallel out-of core solution applied to domain decomposition direct method is used. Through different 3D and shell meshes, the results obtained are presented and the influence of parameters such as number of subdomains, number of processors is studied. Finally, the largest case solved with our hardware configuration is a shell problem with 635000 d.o.f.
