Abstract
A simple and easy nondestructive evaluation procedure is presented for identifying a crack in a beam type structure using the lowest four natural frequencies test data. The detection of a single edge crack on a damaged cantilever-beam which was tested and studied by Rizos et al. is used to illustrate the application of the proposed procedure.
