Abstract
The objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of various parameters such as element type, sensitivity analysis, error estimation, etc. on the shape optimisation process. For this, two examples, a connecting rod and a square plate with a circular hole, are optimised using the shape optimization package ADOPT.
