Abstract
A series of fifty five finite element runs were carried out on a commercially available f.e. program, and modelling the static behaviour of a plate anchor. The effects on the results of a variety of parameters relevant to the anchor behaviour were examined. Due to the limitations of the non-linear analysis an alternative model is proposed, which combines the linear elastic analysis and triaxial tests.
