Abstract
We propose three new families of elements for the Reissner-Mindlin plate model. In the methods the MITC interpolation technique for the shear term is combined with a recent stabilization technique [11]. By this we obtain methods that are stable and in which the same basis functions can be used for the deflection and the rotation.
